SABIC was established in 1976
to add value to Saudi Arabia's natural hydrocarbon resources. Today,
SABIC is among the leading petrochemical companies in terms of sales
and product diversity. Headquartered in Riyadh, SABIC is the Middle
East's largest non-oil industrial company.
SABIC's businesses are grouped
into six strategic business units, supported by corporate
departments and a Shared Services organization.
SABIC's manufacturing
network in Saudi Arabia . Most of these are based in the Al-Jubail
Industrial City on the Arabian Gulf. Two are located in Yanbu
Industrial City on the Red Sea and one in eastern province city of
Dammam. SABIC is also partners in three regional ventures based in
Bahrain.

On 27th of June 2004, Emirates
Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) launched eCompany to
address the information, communication and technology needs of our
customers in the region. The e-powerhouse one-stop shop eCompany -
was formed from the merger of its key online business units.
This
initiative puts in place a single point of contact for all of
Etisalat's e-solutions by merging eCompany (EIM) and Comtrust. As
the region's governments and enterprises step further into the
digital economy with several e-government and e-business initiatives
to be launched, Etisalat is strengthening its position and taking
the lead by creating the eCompany.
